While use of digital payment methods are rising, physical cards remain the dominant payment vehicle in restaurants and bars. Digital payment acceptance requires investment in contactless point of sale systems by merchants.

Existing services are reactive. That is, they rely on the cardholder to remember they forgot their card.

The DCS application and database reside in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) PCI DSS certified environment. 

The DCS service will return a “card/bank not found notification” to the merchant and delete the encrypted card number from the application memory. Meta-data associated with the activity will also be identified for analytical purposes

DCS relies on existing methods of identification. Merchants confirm the name on the card matches the name on a government issued form of identification.
